Spend a morning at the Solar Branco estate making and then savouring your own handmade sausages.
Caroline, co-owner of the estate, will guide you through every step of the process of making delicious fresh pork sausages. You’ll be using the freshest, top quality Azorean ingredients and flavouring your sausages with herbs grown on the estate.
After grinding the meat and preparing the sausage mixture, you’ll have fun learning how to stuff the sausages into casings. You’ll then learn the secret of twisting them into professional looking links.
At the end of the class you’ll enjoy a bbq lunch of the sausages you’ve just made, washed down with local wine or beer, or homemade lemonade. If you don’t eat all the sausages, you’ll have the option of taking away a vacuum sealed pack to enjoy later.
Not only this, you’ll take with you the knowledge of how you can make your own mouth watering sausages when you get back home, using simple, affordable equipment.
Please note: Because of the equipment and raw ingredients you’ll be using, this class is suitable for age 16 and upwards. If you plan on bringing children under 16 please contact us before booking.
