The Solar Branco Eco Estate has 2 dining experiences for you to enjoy. The Green Pantry, our plant to plate dining is hosted in the main house, or Solar as it is called in Portuguese.
Our Sushi experience is served omakase, meaning chef Joana picks the dishes to serve you. Born in the Azores, Joana is considered the best sushi chef on São Miguel. This experience is hosted in Senhor Raposa’s Secret Drinking Den. The Green Pantry, created in partnership with chef André aims to showcase the best fruits and vegetables from the Estate and our surrounding farms with our signature chef’s Azorean menu.

CHEF JOANA SUSHI
Join chef Joana for a sushi dinner. Locally born Joana is considered the best sushi chef in the Azores. She will introduce you to the sushi on offer. She personally collects the fish as the boats come into the port of Rabo de Peixe. A vegetarian option is also available. To order this you must let us know at the time of booking.

Coming to the Azores is all about connecting with nature. One of the most unique and exciting things to enjoy is a meal cooked in a volcano. We serve a modern interpretation, using fresh local seasonal ingredients and a special blend of herbs and spices delivering a delicious and refined twist. As featured on RTP TV’s 100% Portugal.

Cluckingham Palace Breakfast
Guest are welcome to enjoy some of our free range, organic eggs from the residents of Cluckingham Palace, home to our free-range chickens at the Solar Branco Eco Estate. You are also welcome to Join us for a morning visit, and see what eggs are available. Our lucky chickens have around 1000sqm of grounds in an orange orchard where they free-range and forage.

Zero food waste
We aim to reduce all our leftovers from the cooking to the plate. And thanks to our residents of Cluckingham Palace we get close to zero food waste. Chickens are amazing, they eat up all the scraps and food that would go to waste. In return we get the most amazing eggs each morning.

Our eggs come to you from our free range chickens, our vegetables grown on the estate or by neighbours. We want you to enjoy the best local produce the island has to offer.
