June 21 commenced our first community based plant swap. After months of lock-down here in the Azores, we were keen to meet-up and get the members of our gardening community together for a chat and to exchange some plants. We did not expect so many people to come and we had cars all the way down the lane! Some careful parking was needed and maybe even a larger car park next time!
Lots of amazing plants, seeds and locally grown produce was available. Gardeners were also exchanging tips and ideas on what grows well here on Sao Miguel. We raised €100 from drink sales, and this will go to Ponta Delgada’s Children’s home.
