Gin has always evolved with the times, from its humble beginnings from the 1700s to the modern craft gin movement in the late 2000s. Now, gin has evolved yet again, with juniper as the lead botanical, just without the alcohol.
As the alcohol-free movement has grown, so have the alcohol-free gin alternatives. You will learn to make the perfect non-alcoholic Gin and Tonic as you discover the history of gin as well as a tour around the estate. Built-in the 1800s you will also learn more about the history of the citrus trade and the history of the Azores.
This is an experience best enjoyed as you watch the sunset over the green hills opposite The Solar Branco Eco-Estate towards the ocean. Your drink is perfectly balanced with a garnish of Azorean grown orange, rosemary and a splash of juniper berries to bring out the flavours. Take a moment, put your phone down, breathe in the fresh Atlantic breeze, feel the calming wind on your face and marvel at a place surrounded by thousands of kilometres of ocean and the wonders of what is out there for you to discover next.
