July in the Azores, like so many places around the world is hot and dry. Though this does not stop the gardens growing. The Gin Library is welcoming more guests and we are pleased that we are full on many evenings. The restoration of the buildings continues as they start to come back to life.
What’s growing? Our oranges are starting to fruit which means we should have a great crop come winter this year. Rubarb, guava and bananas are all starting to fruit again as well. The climate here in the Azores is amazing for all this produce.
Next month we look forward to more fruits, including raspberry and rhubarb which we will be turning into gin (of course!)
