Take a private tour of a pineapple farm, not usually open to members of the public. Your behind the scenes experience will be led by Pedro, pineapple farmer, and owner of the pineapple houses. These contain a total of 20,000 pineapple plants. You will learn about the growing process over 2 years, and how each plant is cared for throughout the process. You’ll also have plenty of time to walk around the pineapple greenhouses and take as many photos as you wish and ask any questions.
Finally, you will receive an Azorean pineapple to take home (if in season) as a leaving gift (1 per booking).
You will also be invited to visit The Gin Library, where host Ali Bullock, master of gin and brand ambassador for Rocha Negra Gin will host you for a G&T. Pedro’s farm is where he sources pineapples in which he uses to make his in-house gin infusions. You will learn how to make your own gin at home, using only utensils you will find in your kitchen (and maybe an Azorean Pineapple.)
There is plenty of parking inside the farm and at The Gin Library. We will email you exact directions on how to find both locations.
